MY PRETTY CAKE


TELL ME HOW BEAUTIFUL THAT LOOKS! i spent my whole afternoon BAKING! doesn't it loook so niice? man it looks so pretty that i don't even wanna cut it. i could keep looking at it for like the rest of my life! ha! i baked it all by myself with help from me and only MEEE.

k for all those ppl who wanna know how to bake a cake from scratch without betty crocker's here you go!

CHOCOLATE CAKE- recipe

Ingredients

  1. 125g(40z butter)
  2. 1/2 cup caster sugar (125g/4oz)
  3. 1/3 cup icing sugar sifted (40g/1.25oz)
  4. 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence ( u can use butterscotch or vanillin powder will do too)
  6. 1/4 cup blackberry jam (or strawberry will do too)
  7. 1 and 1/4 cup self raising flour (155g/50z)
  8. 1/2 cup cocoa powder (60g/2 oz)
  9. 1 level tspn bicarbonate of soda
  10. 1 cup milk (250 ml/ 8 fl oz)

Chocolate butter cream

  1. 50g dark chocolate, chopped (1 and and 3/4 oz)
  2. 25 g butter (3/4 oz)
  3. 3 tspn cream
  4. 1/4 cup icing sugar, sifted (30g/1 oz)

k now the method

First preheat ur oven to 180 deg C. and grease ur cake tin (ur tin shld be about 8 inch). Then line with baking paper.

Next, beat the butter, caster sugar and icing sugar with an electric mixer till light and creamy. Add the eggs gradually and beat. add jam and vanilla essence

transfer to a large mixing bowl and fold in the sifted flour, cocoa and bicarbonate of soda. stir until almost smooth

Pour into tin and smooth. Bake for 45 min.

to make the butter cream dump in all the ingredients and melt!then spread over the cake i added chocolate curls and walnuts after baking too.
